HW Industries have been setting the standard in earthmoving equipment in New Zealand for over 60 years.

HW Industries is a general engineering shop that specialises in earthmoving Maxi Scrapers for farmers and contractors, and who also can do repairs and maintenance and customization on any items you need around the home and farm.

Hautapu Welders was established over 60 years ago by Colin Blackman, to service the local Waikato farming industry. 40 years later, in 1998, Derek Hoyle and his father went into partnership and purchased the company from his uncle Colin. The initial Hautapu Scraper was developed 50 years ago as a concept from American Magazines and adjusted to suit New Zealand conditions. Over the years the scraper design and features have been developed and improved resulting in a quality durable piece of earthmoving equipment.

HW has focused on making things easier for farmers and contractors by developing a range of earthmoving machinery from Tip Trailers through to land levelers. Although we have a set range of developed products we are approachable and willing to do whatever it takes to help our customers lives easier with new machinery.

Good customer service to us means: treating every person respectfully, valuing every person’s point of view, communicating frequently and effectively and exceeding expectations. This can only be achieved by a strong and happy team. We’ll work hard together to keep morale and motivation high.
